Calling all aspiring illustrators, designers and established pin badge admirers! To celebrate the growth of both their company and Instagram over the last couple of months, Pinbadg.es has launched a design competition. The grand prize? A limited run of a hundred enamel pins with your design, with fifty of them available on their website, and fifty for you to do with whatever you please.
Submissions can be sent over to email@example.com until midnight on the 30th of April 2020, but bear in mind a few pointers before you start sketching:
You can use up to five colours in your design, but don’t forget to outline every colour with a metal stroke. These outlines are available in black, silver or gold. They would like you to specify the colours with a Pantone reference, but if you can’t, they will try to match the colours to the design you submitted. And don’t forget to provide a design for the backing card.
Try to keep the design for your pin between 2 and 2.5 cm to make sure all details come out perfectly. The backing card should be 4 by 4 cm.
Good luck! In need of pins anyway? Check out how Pinbadg.es can bring your idea to life on their website and don’t forget to check out their partners People of Print and Department Store for even more printing options.
